When I am in a chat and type a message and hit enter, the conversaton window shows ' my email address) says:' and then the message. How do I get it to read 'my name says:'? I know it used to be that way in the previous version of messenger/plus but I just can't find a way to change it. Please help.

I don't think it's a Plus! issue.

Are you sure you have changed your display name in Tools > Options ?

My display name reads my name. Wouldn't have anything to do with Contacts>View Contacts By, would it? That doesn't really make sense.

I does. View contacts by email or display name. Obviously you want display name.
