Hi there,

A few days ago, I wanted to add a sound to my sound library.. but to my surprise, the sound source button had disappeared! I tried re-installing Plus! Live, but it didn't solve the problem..

I'm using the latest version of Live Messenger and Plus! Live (Dutch version)..

Here's a screencap:



Anyone knows how this happened and how I can get it back?
Is it a bug?

Did you by any chance patch your messenger? If so, repair messenger.

If not that then you can try a clean install of Plus!Live, meaning:
- uninstall Plus!Live, including preferences and scripts
- reboot
- remove "C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live" folder if still there
- reinstall

That's because you have to use the Add a new sound from Existing sound file option.

There are two options from the menu button on the sounds library screen, Record a new sound (The Screen you capped) and Make from existing file.

Dat komt omdat je de verkeerde menu optie hebt gekozen, je hebt 2 keuzes bij de menu knop in het geluiden bibliotheek scherm, de optie Neem een nieuw geluid op, en maak een nieuw geluid van een bestaand bestand, jij hebt de eerste (opnemen) gekozen, dan zie je dat scherm, maar met de andere optie kan je een bestand kiezen

P.S: De namen kunnen wat anders zijn, ik heb de engelse versie

Nah Ezra there is indeed a button missing...the one you use to select Microphone etc. when you want to record a sound other than from an existing sound.




P.S: je kunt de taal heel makkelijk even omzetten naar nederlands via Preferences

O, hehe, verkeerd begrepen , Naja... voor anderen die het nog niet wisten

Nope, I haven't.. They're the original versions..
Haven't tried the repair option, will try it..

Lol, exactly, I clicked on the 2nd option ("record a live sound")..

The select source button is not present if the current default input decide does not support it. This generally happens when the default input is set to something like your webcam and not your sound card. In that case, there is no source to select as your webcam does not have multiple input sources .

Where do I change my [current default] input options?

change what you see in "Sound recording".
