I get this message :Error code 81000314; temporarliy not available.  How can I get this to work?  I had this issue before I reformatted, but had to reformat for other problems.  My computer is working fine.  I have XP, Windows Live with Messenger Plus.  All the newest version.  TIA.  So glad I found this group.

Same here, probably just server problems, best bet is just to wait it out.

Error code 81000314 - Means your contact list is currently not available, again I'm getting this error also, chances are because other people are experiencing the same problem is that it's servers. Give it time and you will be able to sign in again.

I have the same problem. It's a server issue, basically there is nothing you can do because the problem isn't on your side. Microsoft must fix their servers. Just wait a few hours and try again.

i tried that web messenger. although it let me sign in, i still appeared offline to most of my contacts, and i checked what my status was and it was online

I'm back in now, just be patiant.

I restarted my computer & was able to get signed back in.  I am glad to know it is just not me.  I hope they fix this issue soon.  Thanks everyone.

Correct, it is a server problem, but it could be somethin' else. I don't mean to bad mouth anythin' of MSN's products but they're gettin' pretty lame nowadays, and need to sorto ut their bugs before they release it...Messenger Live isn't a good program to use, this is why people are turnin' back to MSN Messenger 7.5, like me...

Well iv been getting the same problem aswell. But it will sign my other email address in but not my new one.
and ireally dont want to b saying i hav a new addy for msn live..plus 7.5 wont hold 7oo odd contacts so i cant add half the people i actually do talk to .any one know how to fix this at all?
