Since I got Plus! Live the event notification, viewer and logging have never worked right.

The event viewer and logged xml file only show events involving me (Messenger Plus! Live - Messenger has been locked, Messenger Plus! Live - Messenger has been unlocked, Current User ([email]) - Status changed: Busy) all that kinda stuff, but never for anyone else.

The event notifications just never show at all, I have one set to notify for all contacts on offline, but it has never showed.

Has anyone else had this problem?     Is there a solution of some kind??

They both work fine for me.
Have you tried re-installing Plus! and do you have any patces or scripts that could be causing it?

Unpatched messenger.  Just tried disabling aaalllllll my scripts, but no dice.  And I've installed plus several times before now, but it hasn't worked from the beginning.

Done.  I'm using nothing besides plus and an unpatched WLM.

I have the same problem, could anybody help me?

I think I may have sorted this (strangely).  Whenever I boot up the PC, messenger has decided I have a SOCKS proxy on 127.0.0.1 (and no I don't have discovery installed), and it seems to break the event viewer and stuff, but still connect (weirdness).

So try going to Tools > Options > Connection > Advanced Settings, and if it has a SOCKS proxy there, remove it, hit OK and resign in.

ok, thanks. I have recently uninstalled plus!Live and now it works fine, but i will try to reinstall scripts an do what you tell me above.

It seems to happen to me whenever I reboot my modem.
After that Only my own statusses get updated not from my other contacts.

I also have the same problem. I think the socks proxy is installed by simp secway program.

So it seems you can't have both work at the same time...

Anyone found a solution for this?
