Yes there are, but most of them have awful installers now. They are only rarer now because it takes more work to make skins for Windows Live Messenger compared to MSN Messenger. I wrote something here, if you want to find out more.

Skinners would usually go to a guy called Jamach who would compile NSIS installers for them. The original installer script was made by iPab and is very good, simple, fast and great compression. It allowed skins to be installed and uninstalled at the click of a button. There was also TB's installer script, which were probably better, allowing the choice of colours for skins. However, they had a habit or producing large file sizes.

The installers presented now are either a quick patch, no uninstaller and you are left with the skin unless you re-install messenger. Some skins just provide the msgres.dll file, which is really annoying because you need to go to your MSN Messenger directory and manually overwrite the file. And unless you make backup of the original msgres.dll file the only way to uninstall the skin was to again, re-install Messenger.

Well, Jay is getting back into it, and my script has changed a LOT from the older days, I might be releasing it (don't hold me to it :refuck:), it even allows for skin colour choices now. TB's installer is by far the more superior of the two installers, but both of them have their advantages, I suppose.
