I was thinking of making some sort of Plus! RPG.

You would have a centralised server, where people have an account, and this stores things like your items and health etc...

Then when people are online, you can trade with them, attack them, heal them and the like.

I know the game would be a lot of work, and I probably wouldn't be able to do it myself, but do you think people would play it.

While the idea appeals, I'm not too sure it'll take off. You may be better off trying to start a Plus! clan in WoW or a similar game. On the other hand, if you really want to make this, I'd be willing to lend a hand with the coding.

It's not supposed to be a 3d game, it would be a text based game. Over MSN.

For example, if I wanted to trade something with you, i'd start a conversation with you, bring up my inventory and choose the item I wanted to trade, then you'd do the same. If we were both happy with it, the items would be traded.

The game may seem quite boring, but there are many games on the internet like Planetarion that do a similar thing. The twist with this would be that it's exclusively played over MSN.

It sounds fun. If somebody does this I suggest to design it so it's portable. So peaople could set up their own RPG bot which can be hosted elsewhere for other communities.

well blah i guess not, i meant more the graphical style than the gameplay
