Ok well I found this out by accident (pressing the wrong button). It doesn't really need to be fixed cause it doesn't cause any problems but still it is quite humorous.
- Open any chat log
- Highlight any text you wish, (or highlight some and right click and press select all)
- Press CTRL+V (making sure you have text in your clipboard)
- Voila, you now added text to the chatlog at runtime
