I am having troubles with my Windows Conacts.

In Vista all my addresses were in the .contact file and I uninstalled Vista and kept my contacts, moved them to Windows XP. Now they wont open because they only work on Vista. Does anybody know how to convert them to .vcf ?

Tried renaming it and putting .vcf at the end?

Yes, it says the file is Invalid or Corrupt when I try to open after renaming it.
