at present messenger plus has a function that when you turn your status to away it lets you set your personalised status, now then as of late there are new technologies out that automate the setting of the away status but in automating that task users are deprived of their personalised status as they didnt decide what personal status to set, to address the problem i have came up with a suggestion for improving the personalised status feature.

add the ability to pre-program special rules for determining status like as follows.

if time is 18:00 and no activity on pc (messenger auto-sets away) set status to "watching tv". because in that situation thats what i would be doing.

being able to program these customised rules for determining the personal status to use based on a series of events and/or conditions could help in the automation of setting status and give messenger the appearance of intelligence as it would seem to know what we are doing as and when we are doing it.

Sounds a bit like the old Event Scheduler, which may re-appear, but then there may be a script for it at some point.

yeah possibly, however it gets done it would be great if it could get added to plus for next version.
