I deleted all of my contacts when upgrading from msn 6 to windows live..
trying to clean up my contacts...
Now... I don't want to manually add the ones that I want.. .can I have messenger, or messenger plus scan my contacts folder like AOL does to pick and choose what email address to add?

What you can do is go into Hotmail and, for each contact you want on Messenger, edit the details and fill in the MSN Messenger address field. I can't remember if you do anything else: I upgraded to Windows Live Mail months ago now.
