Hello all!

We just created our first script for Messenger Plus! Live, which is called "IRateMyDay DP".  This script changes your display picture automatically based on your profile on the site http://www.iratemyday.com!



Complete info & screenshot here.

You need a profile on the site to use the script.  Simply create one here:

I attached the script to this thread.  Let me know if it works correctly with your profile.

UPDATE : version 1.04 now available.  What's new:
- Fix: minor text update.

Actually, the site is really new, so we are still in the start!  But I think the concept of the site really links well with Messenger.  How often do you change your picture to set your mood?  That's exactly what the site allows you, and with the script it's now automated!

By the way, for everyone here, one cool thing about IRateMyDay.com is that we generate usage stats.  For example, we generate the World map each day containing colored dots of how people feel.  Worth a look ! :

It's easier to change your DP within messenger than it is to load a website to click a link.

You should have options in the script to update the profile on the website.

Great! We got a new version of the "IRateMyDay DP"script ready!

What's new in version 1.01?
- Dynamically download the pictures: this will allow in the near future cool stuff, like choosing new avatars! ;
- New option to change personal text with your rating's comment: pretty handy feature if you are the type of person who changes your personal message often.

So in the end, this means that everytime you change your mood on IRateMyDay.com, your Messenger display picture and personal message will change accordingly!  How cool is that?

Pretty good idea! We are going to think about doing this "reverse rating".

yeah it seems to be taking off though, i signed up yesterday and advertised it a little on msn and the next thing i saw on the site was a day rating from emily-jade a good mate of mine and i was like WHOW!!! the display pictures are pixilated last time i checked...

That's great! We submitted the script to Patchou and when more users know about it, the site will get more users.

For those who wonder how the script changes your picture, here is a screenshot of Windows Live Messenger once the script has been configured and that the picture was updated:



As you can see, the image changes based on your rating of your day on IRateMyDay.com. Of course, if you are a woman, your image will be a girl
