O.P. Vista Support?
MSG Plus (newest) works with vista..

but..the tray window does not flash anymore when in tabbed chat mode...is this issue known?

Also, the most recent chat window that is flashing does not become active...is this issue also known?

Would it be the fact that msgplus needs to be "run as admin" under vista?

Thanks,

Dlanor

RE: Vista Support?
all known issues and if not mistaken are limitations under vista.

however the second one is not a limitation and infact works as expected. Perhaps it will come back in a future version

running it under admin in vista...wouldn't it be best anyway?

RE: Vista Support?
If i'm not mistaken, Messenger Plus! Live is expected to be Vista-Compatible as far as I know right now.  However, due to the fact that Vista is still not available to the General Public for a bit, most of us testers do not have access to Windows Vista yet to confirm or deny the functionality.  Patchou may or may not (i'm pretty sure he does) have a copy of Vista running somewhere, but he cant take as much time to test Plus! as he also has to code it.

If there are any errors with Windows Vista and Plus!, expect them to be fixed shortly after the Windows Vista Launch I would say.  All of this is speculative though and subject to change.

Actually a lot of the testers have been using Vista for a long time and Plus! is perfectly compatible with it.
There was a similar thread only a few days back..

Plus! Live is not 100% compatible with Windows Vista. I'd say more around 95%.

All the features work however some don't work quite as well as they do in XP and theres some weird glitching that sometimes occur in the preferences panel. Things like these beta testers have already reported to Patchou and he definitely knows about them as he has his own copy of Vista to test on. I'd expect all these to be fixed around the time Vista is released to the public. But until then, yes Msgplus! will work mostly perfect on Vista.

Thats completely against the Vista analogy :P. Nothing should be running in administrator mode if it shouldn't be. Msgplus Plus! live doesn't need to require elevated priveleges in Vista to run. To install, like every other program, yes it does.
Segosa is newb.
