Ok I have a friend that I'd like to be able to help over the internet. Unfortunately their Windows Remote Assistance does not work any more, probably because of a firewall or router. They know very little about computers so trying to explain how to fix it is not going to happen. So I'd like to know if there’s and free alternatives that would allow me to remotely control their computer so I can help with problems.

Remote and does not need applications to be installed (just like a internet browser addon)

Been using it myself for ages. And now my dad's work uses it =D

I tend to use RealVNC to "control" other computers.

LogMeIn looks like the one I'm going to use. It's real nice. Thanks for all your help.
