The "Copa America" is gonna be held in Venezuela between June 26th and July 15th this year, and the groups where decided a couple of days ago.

I was wondering if any of you people not from south america actually care about this tournament? Have you ever watched it? Will you?

In case you want to know, the groups are as follows

Group A:
Venezuela (host)
Uruguay
Peru
Bolivia

Group B:
Brazil
Ecuador
Chile
Mexico

Group C:
Argentina
Paraguay
Colombia
United States

I'm not too optimistic after seeing Chile's group : it will be fun speculating with the mexicans though .

Oh and as a side note, finally a decent mascot for a tournament

"The Copa América is the main national football competition in South America, and is run by the CONMEBOL confederation. It is important to note that usually two or three CONCACAF teams get an invitation to participate. Mexico has been a regular since they were invited for the first time in 1993.

The participating nations are Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Two invited teams from other confederations complete the 12-team field. As CONMEBOL only has the 10 members mentioned above, there is no qualification tournament. Neither is there a qualification tournament for invitees; they are invited on their own merits, such as winning matches on World Cup finals or qualification stages in their confederations. Since 1993, only Mexico has accepted invitations to every tournament."

i seriously believe bolivar deserves that star, but hey this thread is about soccer . Let's go back to the main subject

The Seven stars are supposed to represent the seven original provinces. Tell me what the hell does a star representing bolivar has to do with being an original province?

they have Mexico in that group

and remember Hugo Sanchez is the new Manager

They lost against EU, coz our selection was only training one day

And EU had a Previous match, so they had more exp..
