I downloaded Vista 2 day's ago and since then messsenger wont work.

It start's than comes up with "messenger has stopped working", and it closes.

I have gone through the process of deleting everything to do with messenger as was listed in another thread and I download it again and it will work but it is very touchy.
Can't use the shared files as that makes it "stop working".
Than when I turn the computer back on in the morning I have to go through the delete and re-install process again.

Any help will be really appreciated

When you load up Messenger on Vista a "User Account Control" alert or Security alert will come up, make sure you click allow, if this doesn't come up temporarily turn off User Account Control through the control panel and see what happens.

Also make sure you have the latest version of Windows Live Messenger.

upgrade?

MSDN subscribers get to download it, plus i think MS offer a Download Version to , that im not so sure of
