Don't put anything in the "Send a message in my opened chat windows" then.

Then remove the setting to send a message when you unlock and remove the setting to change your status.

You can use a combination of commands (eg: /persostat or /away, and /lock) to change your status and lock your messenger instead and thus do exactly as you want with a quicktext.

Also, it is possible to do this with a script too (though a quicktext should already be sufficient).

No , you can tell it to not change your status when you come back. What you should do is this;

Firstly, uncheck the option of Messenger Lock "Change my status" and OK.
Then when you are going, set your status to Away manually
Finally Lock your Messenger.

When you come back your status won't change to online again, it will stay as Away.

wow! I had just tested a new thing.

If you disable "change my status" in Messenger Lock options, and write "/away" in "send a message to open chat windows" in 'Options when locking Messenger' and then lock your messenger, it will automatically set your status to Away. And when you unlock, your status will remain as away.

But it is important to have an open chat window when locking messenger!!!
