People, you're reading it all wrong. I never said that, MattyRid.
I never said I want to know when someone opens a window.
I never said I want to know what people are typing.
I said I want to know when a contact is typing to me. This is a built-in feature in Messenger, and I just want to extend that simple function. I never said hack.
Don't twist my words.

If that's true, then that's all I wanted to know.
But that doesn't make a lot of sense. If you can't know when someone is typing to you before he sends the message, then that whole feature of "XXX is typing" wouldn't be there. But it is there, and it works.

I just tested two scenarios. If a contact has had contact with you in the current session, you can see that he is typing before he sends the message. But if he disconnects, and logs in again, you can't see anything till he sends a message. (but that second scenario isn't completely 100% sure, I didn't test it thoroughly)
