hi everyone, i have been running msn messenger (+plus) for some time but never really used the custom emoticon feature. i have upgraded my messenger to windows live via the internal upgrade box and then subsequently updated plus to the newer version also.

Ever since doing this, I have a custom emoticon on the letter v, it is just a blank white square. I am able to remove it successfully via the tools menu but on each signout/reboot, it reappears. It definitely was not there originally, how can I remove this emoticon and ensure it is removed permanaently?

I can only assume it got set up whilst upgrading as fairly sure it wasnt there before!

That has nothing to do with plus.

Open a conversation, click go to Add/Remove/Edit emoticons, select the emoticon, remove.

If that's what you have done, then I recommend you try repairing wlm.
