Hi all

Got a new Dell computer coming with Windows Vista (64 bits), i have tried to connect to msn for the last few days and it never worked for me. With other programs such as mirc, icq, skype etc all working fine. i am not using any firewall beside the standard windows firewall which have been turned off. I have installed the latest version of windows live messenger (version 8.1) and i have tired to reinstall it a few times, it didnt help.

Try repairing and diaganosing the connection problem, Right click on internet tray icon and repair and diagnose, then it might fix it

Do you get any error codes whilst signing in?

it just trying to sign-in like there is no tomorrow, i have to press cancel otherwise it just keeps going.

in messenger go to tools - options - connection and click start now on the connection trouble shooter

I had this problem.. but, i can't seem to remember how to fix it (the only thing i remember is doing something in cmd.exe)

Search on google is always helpful..
also, an error code could be useful..
