RE: [HYPE] Web2Live
Meh it'd be easy for plus tags to work use this:
Depends on what you want so ill give you 2versions:
code:
$wlm_plus_tags = str_ireplace('[b]', '<b>', $wlm_plus_tags);
^^ with that way you have to close it off with another line and it doesnt check for if they've left the tag open
however the next one does
code:
$wlm_plus_tags = eregi_replace('<b>\\1</b>', '\[b]([^\[]+)\[/b]', $text);

O.P. RE: [HYPE] Web2Live
For those of you wondering about text formatting and why we are not going to include it I will give you two reasons.
- Plus only gives the first 129 characters of the Display Name and PSM and may truncate ending codes off.
- Text colouring may conflict with background colouring, making it difficult to see
- Gradients would require some kind of loop and would make for more server processing, enough of which will be done to generate all of the signatures. We want to minimise this as much as possible to be able to allow everyone access to this facility rather than having it all limitted like W2M
This is one of the limitations that we realise and will talk about on our FAQ page.... maybe we should start on that sooner rather than later with all these questions....

I suppose I could supply a server, 2TB of b/w will have no problem
Thanks for the offer of the use of servers to those who have offered, (Dempsey and Nathan that I know of) we will just keep a note of them for now. At the moment we are just going to use our current server a little while we just get the basics working, but we may come talk to you guys later about it some more. It is really nice to know that we have your support.

RE: [HYPE] Web2Live
I had a similar project last summer. However it really does get big, and that was just the website part. If you have the time go for it, I know I didn't .
It was called Project BananaPhone of all names
