Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. MSN lets me start conversations and then its fine, but it won't let others start them. People are talking to me and I don't even know about it. It's actually starting to annoy me now and I was wondering how this can be avoided. I've tried it on other PCs so its not a PC problem, it still happens to me on Windows Messenger too. Can anybody help me?

there is currently a situation where users can't ever send or receive messages at all at the moment. http://shoutbox.menthix.net/showthread.php?tid=57215 is an example.

my friends say its been happening since last night.

sounds like about the time the problem started...most likely Messenger's servers are playing up...all we can do is wait and hope.

okey dokey. so theres nothing i can really do about it?

not really much unless you keep bugging Microsoft...not that I recommend doing it as I'm sure they are currently flooded with angry users.

Similar problem.  Others can IM me but my response won't go through - The msg. I get is: The following message could not be delivered to all recipients:. 

This is (was) how I connected with co-workers at the office.  It's difficult with out it.
