a friend has following problem...every time a contact logs in, his messenger freezes. he installed vista, but there was no change...contact log in,... messenger freezes. without plus all works fine

Same here - I also had a lot of problems with file transfers.

Symptom: Locking chat window, unable to type. Close chat window and re-open conversation and was OK. Many problems with file transfer stalling. Almost fixed now UPNP is enabled on firewall(s).

Note that freezes of Messenger can have a very very wide range of causes and most are not because of Messenger Plus!.

Also, scripts can cause Messenger to slow down/freeze too. And scripts can cause various other problems. This isn't the fault of Messenger Plus! either, but the fault of the script and the way it is programmed. Uninstalling Plus! will solve these problems because when you uninstall Plus! you also uninstall all the scripts you're running.

Problems with file transfers have got nothing todo with MEssenger Plus!. Messenger Plus! doesn't do anything related to file transfers, it even doesn't monitor them or whatever. Messenger Plus! also does not interfear with the connection at all.

it also freezes when i receive emotions in the messages

also no scipts installed

i have a lot of scripts installed, polygamie enabled sp3 installed. most of my buddys to.we have no problems with !plus
only 1  of them

are u using the tab-function of msg-plus? i think this could be the reason.

the blank msn live messenger runs perfect. after the installation of msg-plus, the freezing prob. appears.

hmm...should I change the msg-plus settings?

i love the functions of plus, but this problem makes me crazy
