Msn Today isn't a messenger plus feature ;)
Why would you need it?

I know what useragent msgplus uses for the browser controls, but as the only thing that is using a msgplus browser control is the contest, i'm not sure if I should tell you. As the only thing that you could use it for it cheating the contest...

O.P. RE: User Agent of Windows Live Messenger
I'm working on a project about problems with decoding and displaying websites using different types of build-in browsers (mostly MSIE) and OSs (especially mobile devices). Therefore we're collecting the signatures of the most used Windows, Mac and Linux programms.

It does not actually make a difference for us if it's the 'normal' Windows Live Messenger or the Plus version, I just thought that (because I'm using the messenger for myself) I'll rather ask here in the forum, than contacting the ****ing Microsoft support. +o(

Normaly we're able to use a testing site but it didn't really work with this stupid MSN today browser!

Does someone no if there's an extension so you can browse on non-MSN sites? When I try it always opens a new IE site!

Thanks for your support!

I think you don't really understand what I was saying.

Messenger Plus Live! is not made by Microsoft.
The Browser Control that is build in Plus! is only working for the contest and the only website that you can browse to with it is the contest page.

There is no 'normal' browser build into Plus Live!

The 'MSN Today' browser is a part of MSN / Windows Live Messenger and not Messenger Plus Live!|

So to kinda answer your question.

The Useragent of the MSN Today window is:
code:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Windows Live Messenger 8.1.0178)

EDIT: So as you can see this is simply a edited version of the MSIE 6 useragent with the added Windows Live Messenger version tag.

EDIT2: As comparison, my MSIE 6 useragent string:
code:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
