O.P. Laptop program locker
Just wondering if there's anything out their that will lock your laptop when you shut your laptop screen.
I couldn't find anything so I am asking you

Control Panel > Ease of access > Mobile PC > Power Options > Change what closing the lid does

No, it doesnt give the option too lock the laptop. (I'm using xp as well

yes it does. have it put the laptop to sleep, and then turn on "require a password on wakeup"

Surely the whole 2 seconds it takes to power a laptop on from standby isn't that much of a problem? As this will lock the system...
If there's something you still don't like about that.... in Linux I would just set it to Disabled and write an ACPI hook. Dunno if you can do that jazz in Windows though.

It's not what I want becuase I like to leave my connection on so I receive msn messages, and when its in standby it cant do this.
