a while ago, i was chatting to my friend. til i accidentally pressed some random keys on my keyboard. then my messages were right aligned, both for me and my contact (ie: meaning that my messages were right aligned in her window too; not that her messages were right aligned too.)
i started palming my keyboard, and it went back to normal.

anyways, i was wondering if anyone could tell me what i pressed to get this?

i'm not sure whether or not this has something to do with msgplus, but i'd like an answer either way. eheh

Probably it was the Combination 'Right-Ctrl+Right-Shift' and to shift it back try the combination 'Left-Ctrl+Left-Shift'

Ctrl + A -> Ctrl + R ?

This is not related to Plus! but is actually a Windows behavior. Here are the shortcuts you asked for:

• Ctrl+Left Shift - Left alignment (left-to-right text)
  
• Ctrl+Right Shift - Right alignment (right-to-left text)

However, Messenger will not (for some odd reason) accept these shortcuts until you enter certain special characters into the input box. For example, one character that works is Alt+1986. Once you've entered this character, you can delete it and then use those shortcuts (I don't know why this is required )
