Can anyone tell me whether the sharing folders option has been discontinued?  It seems to have disappeared altogether, or is it hiding somewhere else?

Some of my contacts still have them, but myself and others haven't.

Weird... it disappeared here too.

I think I'll look for an explanation on some Messenger site...

Here, the WLM's shared folders didin't disappeared...
I think the problem is about the availability of the "function" like other games and "actions.....

i think they disappeared... i got the same problem today... me and everyone who talked to. all the windows live icons under the personal message disappeared: shared folder, live spaces, videocall... i think (and hope!) it's a microsoft problem... and i hope they're gonna solve it real soon...

The only ones that show for me atm are Email, Go to your Space and Windows Live Today.

Oddly enough Shared folders dissapeared completely everywhere in WLMsgr (8.5). The folders are still there tho, they are located at C:\Documents and Settings\<account name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Messenger\<Windows Live ID>\Sharing Folders (WinXP)

I think this would be a serverproblem, wich will be resolved soon hopefully...if it's anything else we'll find out soon enough.

It is, but it is country specific. This is why some people can see the icon and others cannot .

Agree... now the problem occoured to me too... So all we have to do is wait...

All's fine again here..all icons are back.
