Simple example. If i want all messages coming through to change a contacts name to their email - i can by doing a string replace on the incoming event. Also means i dont need to worry about hooking/data capture dll's.
The reason for the way that it works in your example is that is how the protocol is (the message received through messenger). If it were possible for us to be guaranteed of the email address then we would most likely get the ContactObject for them instead.

It is NO LONGER present on stuffplug since version 3, and they said they won't put it back.
That's because display pictures get resized on the receiving end as well, so everyone who wanted to see the larger picture would need StuffPlug installed and very few people had it.
But Plus! is far more popular than Stuffplug...so we wouldn't have that problem as almost everyone would see the bigger pictures.
Patchou please add this feature! It would be just amazing.
The fact remains that a member of this community (though that's not what matters) has already used that idea in the past. Patchou won't use it. You also have to understand that just because most of your contacts have Messenger Plus! Live, that doesn't mean most of everyone else's contacts do. Yes, stuffplug is/was less popular than Plus!, but that doesn't mean that "almost everyone" would see them. So no, I really doubt that will be implemented.
Well but we could at least try to ask for permission (and I'm sure TheBlasphemer would give it)
Is there something bad in using someone's else ideas if he gives you full permission? I don't think so.
If TB says no then all right...but if he says OK why shouldn't Patchou add a feature so many of us wished for since MSN 5.0 and still wish for?

Hi
Here a suggestion from a friend:
If I start a groupchat and add friends to this conversation and you add some more and people are starting to be annoying, then I can right click on their avatar and choose Remove from this converation and then the group conversation windows closes for that user.
Good idea, although i just thought of one potential problem.
Who in the multi-user conversation will be allowed ti "kick" contacts? Would it be everyone, or just the person who started the chat.

The person who started the chat, IMO.
But I'm not sure if there's a way to a) detect who started the chat or b) actually close peoples conversations remotely.
I don't think it is possible.

I don't think so either, but i think the main idea was to kick then from the conversation. i'm sure this could be possible (although im not 100% sure).

RE: Working on the next version
or just cut the remote client connection, like a kick on IRC... don't need to close the window...

The old way with the .pif or whatever it was is removed, the only way i could think would be if every user had Messenger Plus Live so you could ping it to there Plus Live to close the window. These sort of features are things that the WLM Developers should have implemented a long time ago anyway instead of trying to get a super-cool UI.
