This script will disable the group editor appearing when a group name is double clicked in the contact list.

Disable Group Edit will automatically adjust to work for new versions, but may not be able to adjust for all of them without an update. Here is the version support log:

Version support:

• v1.0 - Messenger 8.1 and above (tested from 8.1.0178 to 9.0.1407.1107 BETA)

Seems to be working, only my skin (Windows Aero Messenger) already disabled this. Double-clicking causes the group to expand/collapse.

Will you add an update feature in the light of the tightness with the client versions?

The script automatically adjusts for each version to patch correctly. However, if it cannot find a good place to patch, the script will alert the user and give them a link to this thread, where all updates will be posted.

this helps alot on windows live msn...

as when you double left click the edit group screen freezes or crash's you out of msn some times...

Great script. My WLM always crashes when I double click.

Doesn´t Works I have WLM 9.0 MEssenger Plus 4.81 on Windows Vista Ultimate.
