Glad to see that skining was added.

I was wondering if that was going to be added.

Thanks for the nice posts Sunshine and Poska.
LIES! I've made like 3 or 4 posts about how much I wished I wanted to use it.  Maybe you just ignore my posts

Just out of curiosity, can we do skinning on the fly through a script now?  Like a script can edit the toast windows or something on the fly (and revert it back) so that customized looking toasts can be made rather than just the whole skin being loaded at once and needing to reload a skin or reload messenger before it takes effect.

Don't worry, you don't have to use it if you don't want to :P

RE: First glimpse of version 4.50
It would be nice if Patchou had toasts skinable on the fly.  I think this would become quite popular with script developers, especially when they have cutomized windows (this would be quite nice with all of the features that the new script window engine has and helping for deelopers).  I just think this would be really nice and makes it easier for toasts to get recognised for the script it belongs to (you could also limit the dimensions of the toasts so they don't get too big and annoying).  I can see why all of the other windows can use this method perfectly and dont need this exception, but toasts are the only windows that are used by both Plus! and scripts then i think this fuctionality would be very good, we don't want dodgy methods being used which don't allow for other toasts or use an unconventional placement (I personally was thinking of making one scrolling from the middle of the top of the screen for one, but I was too lazy to try and write the statements for all of the exceptions).

Sorry for the long post, but I really would like to see this added and surely it can't be that hard to make the exception, even if it is just when scripts generate a toast....

markee: Visual features should be left with skinners and functionality should be left to scripters.
The last thing I would want is some annoying script forcing me to view something other than the skin which I have applied.

If we can have fully customized windows in scripts, why can't that functionality be in the toasts that it generates as well?  If he wants to get tricky then we could always write the XML for it and store it in the scripts folder under a specific name so as to avoid read-write errors and things like that.

What I wanted to see in Quick Icons panel is animated emoticons which can animate. Because once I wanted to switch that panel instead of Messenger's default, but I had to switch back because I couldn't distinguish some of my custom emoticons which have the same face but making different animations. I hope this will be avaliable soon.

@markee: That was exactly what I had requested in pid=861505 and the 4 following ones.
Patchou didn't reply.
