how do I disable this?

F1 opens the Help page on the Microsoft website. I know that someone made a script to disable the Esc key function when in a conversation window, so it should theoretically be possible for the F1 key as well. I'm not going to be able to do it, I am sure someone will be willing to do it for you though so just hold tight

I think it can easily be done with autohotkey
