O.P. Danger of loosing important private data
What I am talking about is the matter of sending sensible information through a messenger window by mistake...

It happened that I was logging into a site with my web browser and while I was typing my password, a messenger window popped up, getting the focus, so that I kept on writing.
Instead of writing the password in the secure password field of the site, I wrote and sent it to a msn contact...
It's a lack of privacy!
I had to immediately change my passwords :S

Also happened to me that while I was typing in a chat window, I started downloading a file with Internet Explorer (and I chose to OPEN the file instead of SAVING it).
When it finished downloading, the confirmation window popped up (the one asking if you trust the file and want really to open it)..the matter is I was typing in a chat window....and as I hit the Space Bar, the download window closed coz I chose to "Not Trust" the file :S
I wasted more than an hour to download again that file :S

Is there a way to prevent all this accidents?!

I really don't like the idea of a program getting the focus while I'm doing such stuff...and sometimes it's really dangerous too!

This happened to me once or twice too, but with other programs.

Messenger usually doesn't steal focus, whenever i get a new message it just blinks in the background.

The best and most failproof to prevent this is to just look at your screen before you press enter on a password.
Finish the problem

The script you're making is doing it. You were warned:

Take note though that when using this, if you are in the middle of typing you will continue typing in the new window, and may end up sending the message to the wrong person.

you should of cancelled the download and re-downloaded it

to answer your question i am not sure if there is a way of stopping it but my msn doen't do it but it did once when i had an add-on installed and the "bring to front on new message" box was ticked so check your msn add-ons to see if any of them have that option ticked (I think it was either stuff plug of discovery that i had which had that option)

It is also related to the script I wanna make...

I was wondering...is there a way to change how applications get the focus?
I'd like to prevent them from getting the focus while I'm writing on msn messenger...then after I sent a message, would be fine to set this ability back...
It is to prevent the press of such buttons on popup windows while writing (like I did with the download window)...

Can I change it through a registry entry in windows...or maybe a dll...
Any ideas?!
