I downloaded windows discovery a while ago, it made my msn too slow so I unistalled it. After I did that this problem started to occur. Will anybody please help me?

Are you on a Windows Administrator's account?

RE: Messenger Plus unistalls itself after shut down?
Hello,
I have the same problem. I install Messenger Plus! Live, all it's OK, but after a shut down of my PC, Messenger Plus is not present in Windows Live Messenger.
My configuration:
- Windows XP (service pack 2)
- Windows Live Messenger 2008 (Buid 8.5.1302.1018)
- Messenger Plus! Live 4.50.0.312
all products are in french.
Thanks for your help.

You still may not be using an Administrator account. There are Limited and Administrator types of account, but also an account called administrator.

In my case, I am the Administrator and I install under this account.

also sounds like comp may not be shutin down all the way or something and just goin back to a lastgood boot
um all i can say is try removin it and then go to C:\Program Files\Messenger Plus! Live
and remove the folder and try install it again and just log off the account and then try hitin the shutdown button when it goes to login screen k dunno if that will make a diff but that is what im thinkin and if they was not admin/limited/guest account should not matter u can still install the Messenger Plus

If Messenger Plus! Live removes itself every time you turn off your computer, you can solve the problem by going to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, searching for any plugins such as Smiley Central or SweetIM, and uninstalling them. If you still have the problem, you can uninstall Windows Live Messenger from the same place, go to C:/Program Files, remove the 'MSN Messenger' folder, and then reinstall Windows Live Messenger.

Thanks to John Anderton,
SweetIM was installed on my configuration.
After uninstalling it, all it's OK. After shut down and restart Messenger Plus! Live is here ....
