I have had problems with installing msg plus when running vista, & to be honest had not tried for some time.
I saw there was a new version of msg plus so thought I would give it a go.
After installing it I got the same old error message "software not loaded" but then saw an option to enable safe mode so ticked it & lo & behold msg plus is now running.
Why has this option appeared when it was never there before, & is this the solution to problems installing in vista?
What exactly does it do?
Can someone explain?

if Messenger does not crash, then you can keep this setting without any worries. The problem is not that Plus! could make Messenger crash with this setting, it's that another software installed on your system may not like it and cause Messenger to crash as a result.

By default, Messeger Plus! disables itself at any sign of possible incompatibilties. It's a design choice but I decided in the latest version to offer a way to go around it for situations such as yours.
