Hey there

Why is it that I always sign in as Busy, even if I've chose to sign in as Online? Is this a bug or something?

I've the lattest version of WLM (8.5.1302.1018) and the last version of MsgPlus (4.23.0.276). Windows XP user. I also check my email in Windows Live Mail, ir for some reason that matters...

Nevermind, I already found what the bug was:

If you uncheck the "Show me as "Busy" and block my alerts when I'm running a full-screen program or presentation settings are turned on" box then this bug will happen.

Can someone please confirm this?

I tested it, but I couldn't confirm! (with the same configuration with yours)

I doubt if it is really check or uncheck, I think you are running a hidden full screen application so it changes your Online status to Busy while the option is checked on your computer.

No, it changes my status while the option is UNchecked... neat, huh?

OK, I've found some strange behavior while tweaking a little with the configurations:

I unloaded ObjectDock and DesktopCoral, and the problem... wasn't solved. BUT I checked the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" box AND the problem was solved (even if I was running ObjectDock and/or DesktopCoral).

Could you please confirm this? It doesn't matter if you have or haven't Objectdock or DesktopCoral loaded, just uncheck your "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" box and try to sign in as Online on WLM.

well... hope there's a fix for this in the next build.

I get this problem too except i dont use Windows Live Mail i use Outlook Express to check external email . it's slightly annoying lol, hope there is a fix for it soon
