No there is an iTunesDB file in the iPod_Control\iTunes folder. This is a database of the music.

As you seem to be the first to say it is possible, I'm replying to you in hopes. I see you've done some coding to find the ipod from the usb hub. Think you might give this plugin challenge a go? I'd really like to use it!
