I often read the words MSN Sniffer in this forum...What is MSN Sniffer?

Can someone give me a reference about it?

Hmmm..I have understood so far by googling up MSN Sniffer...But how does it work?
Si it enables the "server" side of a network to read all the chats going in and out in the network?
I still don't understand what "impact analysis" means here...

All your network traffic (chats, email, downloads, uploads, whatever) goes to the outside world via your network connection.

A sniffer (or monitor) simply looks at this network traffic and shows you what data goes in and out, which other programs usually do not show to you. That's all.

MSN Sniffer does exactly the same thing, but only shows you the network traffic related to MSN Messenger/Windows Live Messenger.

So it doesn't detect what is being said in a chat?

Whats being said in a chat is sent through the same way as all other information. It can be read by a packet sniffing program

btw theres alot of script's for MP!L out there to encrypt the messages to sniffers can't use them. (if you want to protect yourself)
