Well i had 2 HDD's. Once with windows vista on it and one with mandriva linux. When i booted up it would automaticly take me to mandriva and give me a mandiva boot screen. Asking witch OS i want to boot.
So i was on windows and i formatted the drive that had mandriva on it.
At this point =>
HDD1 > Windows
HDD2 > Blank
So i restarted and it gave me a screen sayin loading grub.. i got an error (expected as linux is gone). There was no option to do anything else so i was stuck. I thought there would be no problems just loading and vista will just boot. So i got the grub error then cut power to my pc.
I rebooted and enterd BIOS set-up and set the boot order to the HDD1 to be at the top so it would boot windows.
No luck. It just boots the grub error again (error 4, 40 ,4 or 14).
I have no windows vista boot disk but i do have a mandriva LIVE cd. There must be some sort of files to edit to get this to work again. (note: when i was using the live cd before i installed [looking at features ect] i noticed if i clicked on the windows drive [hdd1] it says access denied)
So what do i need to do to solve this problem. If possible i'm looking for the fastest way
Thanks, i really appreciate this!
