I went over my monthly usage allowance, I was wondering if there's a way to get around additional usage charges, maybe like a proxy?
Also, is there a program, like a meter of some sort to show how much ive used, and how much I have left.

Rogers right? I got that same message, and it says they wont charge us, only if we go over in june.

Your connection to the internet is Rogers... everything you do on the internet goes trough Rogers, so anything will count. Unless it's trough a complete other internetconnection, but you'll have to pay another ISP for that.

There are probrams like NetMeter and NetLimiter, but the downside is you have to install in on every pc that accesses the internet connection, and you can't install it on a Xbox/PS3 or any other non-PC device, making it very unreliable for monitoring your monthly usage.

Your provider probably has a site where you can login to see how much you used, that will be the most reliable way.

I know that TalkTalk in the UK doesn't or at least it's bloody well hidden even from employee's for when I asked to see my usage

It starts in June, that's why they won't charge til then
