i ran into prroblems with msn recently, when i run connection truobleshooter, it show problems with host files and it ask to fix it but it doesnt and sometimes i get error 80072745

i have spybot

what is the permanent fix for this?

there were a lot of problems with msn last night with the same error. It might just be that its still having problems. How long as this been going on for?

same problem with me
its happend a few times now . i keep having to reinstall messenger and uninstalling it. its really anoying .

if you have an error message, look up the error number on official pages like http://messenger-support.spaces.live.com/

(and not on sites which only say to reinstall or reregister some DLLs, which they essentially suggest for every error)
