Hey guys,

Sometimes when people send me a webcam request it will start loading, but then as soon as it has finished loading and is actually about to start displaying the webcam, Messenger locks up. It doesn't crash in Task Manager, it just doesn't respond to user input and doesn't change. Then after about a minute it seems to timeout and Messenger starts responding again and in the convo that the webcam was shows there was a problem connecting and that the webcam was ended. But then if I try again straight after it works straight again with no issue.

Anyone know why this may be happening and how I can fix it? Its quite the inconvenience.

It happens to me too (when my webcam decides to work at all ) I have figured this is rather normal, and just live with it.

Its hardly bearable... The point of Messenger is communication... and when it prevents you from doing so for a couple of minutes its pretty frustrating.


Do you have Windows Vista x64?
