I don't know why its doing that, or what exactly you mean. By stealing their nickname, it means it will set as yours, that's what the script does I believe.
You know, to 'steal' a contacts nickname doesn't require a script. You can go to your contacts list, right click > Messenger Plus! features > Contact Information, then highlight their nickname and copy it (CTRL+C or right click>copy).
I think that's what you want, to copy their nickname but not set it as your own?
