Hello, I've got a few logs and their password, but some parts of the file have been deleted. Do you know if there's something i can do to recover the information?
Thanks
Encrypting, decrypting etc. of Plus! chatlogs
you can use the log program to decrypt them on the command line, using the /partial switch. This will decrypt any part of the log file that is readable
I know, I know. I've done it with 4 files: 3 corrupted ones and one that's fine. With the 3 corrupted it doesn't even ask me for a password. If I try with the fine one it asks me the password and finally creates a .txt file in the same folder.
Any other solution?
If the /partial switch didn't work than the logs are corrupted beyond recovering. There needs to be at least some valid data (eg: the header) so that decrypting can be done for the other, non-corrupted, parts.
