It seems M$ may just be getting serious about stopping people editing the appearance of their software with patches and things If there not careful there gonna really piss some people off
Actually, I am already pissed off. Skinning had found many fans and now Microsoft ruins what Plus! and Patchou had achieved from December. I can only hope they will finally change the way Messenger 2009 works now so it will not be so difficult to skin it.

I highly doubt they are going to take a step back from the new UI they've introduced. It's taken them nearly a year to get to this stage, and to be honest I'm impressed with the UI. It's a huge improvement from the alpha versions. I'm sure Cyril or someone will find a work-around for the skinning issues .

I hope so RebelSean. I agree the new UI is good but they could have at least leave the images format as it was. Besides, they changed most of the images to .MSRLE. Anyway, I am sure Patchou will find the way to fix any issues with skinning.
...maybe they're just not allowing you to edit the UIfiles whilst it's still in beta, I imagine they don't want people reporting bugs that have been caused by someone rearranging their code.
