Hello there
When i accept webcam or any one accepts my webcam my Whole Msn Freezes and its not responsive to anything i do, it basically turns into a screenshot,
Ive updated Webcam drivers, ive uninstalled Messenger and reinstalled it, ive even updated my graphics drivers.
can anyone shed some light please?

have you checked your webcam? is it damaged? or maybe try plug it into another USB port.

BTW: which kind of web cam do you have?

one more thing have you tried using it with another IM client? skype perhaps? not usre but try using on web messenger

im Using a phillips Toucam Pro, but yea it works fine with other programmes
I cant accept webcam either tho, with nothing except my mouse plugged into a usb port it still freezes solid

I used to have this same exact problem. I have no idea what fixed it, but it randomly started working again. I contacted Microsoft about it once, and after playing email tag for a while, the ticket was escalated from their non-tech people, had a few correspondence after that but ultimately was not solved by them.

I have a few other questions for you though:
Can you send voice clips?
Can you receive voice clips
Can you view other peoples webcam?
What happens when you open the "Audio and Video setup" located in the tools menu?
What happens if you open "Webcam settings" also in Tools?
