witch one is better to have

Depends, what are you looking for?

- Stability
- Messenger Plus! support
- Don't need the latest half-finished featues
Then go with 8.5

- Want the latest new features (even tho most aren't finished yet)
- Can live without Messenger Plus! for now
- OK with errors and possible crashes
- New less cluttered GUI
Then go with 9.0 (wave 3)

As soon as Wave 3 is final I'd say definitely go with that, but that could take up to February next year.

-It looks cooler and nicer
-No it doens't crash (don't knwo what you people do with it XD )
-Who needs Messenger Plus. Personally never used it.
-Cool features that actually work
-There's an A patch for it so you can customize it.

As this is a Messenger Plus forum, we are generally of the opinion that you do need Messenger Plus

Personally I'm really loving the new Wave 3.....the interface is very polished, i love the new colour changing display picture borders (relating to the contact's status).

As with any Microsoft upgrade you generally know that you're getting a superior product to the previous incarnation

Not trying to start a huge discussion, but a lot of the new features in this build are far from finished. Even Microsoft employees have said so. Yes, most things are usable, but it isn't labeled beta without a reason.

It all depends on your definition of better. Having that said, I prefer 9 above 8.5 (but hey, I get to test Plus! on it).
