A simple script which lists in order of the convo window last opening the people you recently talked to. Double clicking their name opens convo.

maybe this will be a great idea... if you can add this people automatically to favorites feature of WLM2009... (idea grabbed from MSNShell)

I could do it, but I'd want it to be discrete... I'd like it to be put into the WLM taskbar menu, but that's probably not possible...

I'll take a chance and say I'll do it for you tonight (with or without menu)

how if you don't have access to a MP!L version for WLM2009???

I don't think hooking it on the taskbar button will work, but I think it could actually be possible in some way to capture and modify Messenger's right-click menu on the system tray. Then you could add a sub menu there with "Last opened chats" and list the chats there (maximum of 5 or something)... hopefully.

I'd want to give it a try, but I don't know if I can do that very early. Still got some other work to do as well...

I don't think it's interesting to actually add them to the favorites every time, and I doubt we'd be able to do this with scripts anyway. It'd be much interesting if the Messenger team implemented this themselves, i.e. a group called "Latest chats" which will be filled with the latest chats you've had.

However, adding this in the Messenger systray menu sounds possible to me and would be as easy/easier than from a group in the contact list in my opinion.

I agree it would be better in the systray menu. Great idea Sam, this script will be very useful if someone creates it.

I've got it all working fine with menus (right click on CL's taskbar button), except I need to find the right message now for when it's clicked. I'm gonna add the menus to the actual systray icon if I can. I'm at work at the minute, but I'll try and release a version later that just has a little window in it for now
