Yes that is 8.5.
If it was one of the 9.0 BETA's, then instead of having "Windows Live Messenger" as the windows title it would have had "Windows Live Messenger BETA"

[edit the other reason it's 8.5 is he has plus, i don't think he has access to the plus beta, if he does he is very lucky

but i could swear that it´s a 9.0 or 9.1 dunno!

listen:
i tried to remove the MSN 9 version from the coumputer, but something goes wrond, Massage shows, and said that removing of MSN 9 BETA fail.
and i can't remove it from my PC.
And i can't install 8.5 beacuse it says that i installed a newer version of MSN on my PC.

so, any one some sulutionns?

if you are using beta 1  you will be forced to upgrade it to beta 2

if you are using 8,5 nothing will happen to you

so if u reinstall the beta 1 it wont let you sign in  u must update it to beta 2

8,5 is the final so there is no update yet

only for the beta  there is..

rename the folder with wlm 9 in it or

try uninstalling in safe mode..sometimes works..heres another program..

try to remove it with safe mode..!

The Windows Installer service will not run in Safe Mode therefore you cannot remove it from within Safe Mode.

so then let him try to del the messenger file in the C:/porgfile.etc

del it

then uninstall it

or repair it  then uninstall it
