when trying to add a contact in WLM, it will not check if that Hotmail email exists or not, it will add it to the contact list anyway. This did not happen in MSN Messenger, the new contacts were only added if the Hotmail address exists and the person signed for the messenger. So in WLM, how can I make sure that the hotmail address being added is a valid one?

we want the msn to check if that email exists or not..!!

Actually, it would be great if Messenger Plus! could somehow check if the e-mail address exists. Is it possible?

No it's not... If it were, then spammers could find out if your address was active, without you having to reply and so on. It'd be considered a breach of privacy

but if i am a bussines man and i have a deal to add this contact and to ask him about when will meet to day

i add him  and i wait i wait i wait

he didnt came online  because i miss a letter in the E-mail

and i lost my deal now..

A businessman that uses WLM for scheduling appointments is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

i used to set up an apointment to work in project in the msn !

and i add an e-mail that was wrong and the WLM did not check for the e-mail

and we submut the project to late and we lost some marks..

Always double check email addresses. Always make sure you request them at least twice. Take a contact phone number as well if possible. That way you will never lose contact and you can ask why they have not been online.

The fact is that it's not possible due to the way the emails work. If you could do this all a spammer would need to do is run a list of emails through a program and sell off all the ones that work to other spammers...
