O.P. External storage
I'm looking for an external hard drive enclosure that has RJ45 and USB connectivity that can be used simultaneously. I have one from Eagle that has both ports, but I can only use one at a time. I would prefer one that supports both SATA and IDE, but if I can't get that, then I'll live. The USB/RJ45 part is more critical.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I need the RJ45 to use the drive as NAS (Network Attached Storage), and I need the USB port to hook it up to an FTA satellite receiver I have to use its PVR function. That way, I can record my shows, and stream them or burn them from any PC on the network.

RE: External storage
I would honestly be surprised to see both USB and network working at the same time.. Logically, if you're writing with network you shouldn't simultaneously be able to read somewhere else..

How's that different to accessing a regular server? After all, the hard drive still has to queue and cache reads and writes the same way.
