I don't know if this is a known  bug but it sure bugs me lol.

I am using 2 monitors, a 22" CRT and a HD tv.
Monitor #0 is my CRT
Monitor #1 is my HD TV

I've set #1 in Windows XP SP3 to appear left...

Okay so...
When I browse a chat log and hit Ctrl+F (find) it opens the search dialog on my left monitor (#1) which is very annoying.

Need to turn on TV, switch to HDMI1 to search lol or turn #1 output off in Windows.

You (patchou, or if there are, the other devs) should make it show up on the same monitor...

That's odd, it should open up on the same monitor as the chat log window.

If you open the find dialog, move it over and then close it, does it reopen on the right monitor?

ok this is not a solution, but can't you just pres ctrl-f, type your search query and hit enter?

Yes that does work but even though I type blindly typing errors occur.
Not seeing what you are typing is a little annoying.

what screen is your main screen? afaik it opens on the main screen

#0, my CRT is set as default / main.
